Questions:
What is the best season for Safari?
Answer: Every season has its own charm, but the most popular seasons are from middle of December to middle of March and from July to middle of September. This is because Christmas and summer holidays. An increasing number of visitors are realising that June and October are ideal, benefiting from lower visitor numbers and off peak rates on the airlines.
When and where can I see the great migration?
Answer: The wildebeest and zebras are always somewhere, but they are not always in large herds and on the move. Their location largely dependends on the weather, which can vary very much from one year to another. In general the herds assemble south of Serengeti during January and February, the season in which they give birth to their young. Around March they begin moving North and West in search of fresh grazing through the Serengeti Park. They can move in enormously long single file lines or in huge herds. The bulk of the animals reach the Maasai Mara in Kenya, where they tend to remain during July and August, before starting their return trek south back through the Serengeti in September.
Can I have a private vehicle?
Answer: Yes, of course you can have a private vehicle for yourself or your company, just inform us about this when you are sending a quotation or doing your booking. On a safari with an exclusive vehicle, the cost of the vehicle and driver/ guide are divided by the number of clients sharing the vehicle. Therefore, the per person cost of a custom safari reduces the more clients that are sharing the vehicle. Notice, the maximum people in one vehicle is 6 persons.
Can I have my own itinerary?
Answer: If you book an exclusive vehicle for you safari you are free to arrange your own itinerary, within logistical constraints. We can arrange any required itinerary subject to practical and logistical considerations and will be pleased to discuss and quote specieal requirements. If you have any questions, please let us know. Contact us by using our
