Zanzibar is located in the Indian Ocean about 25 miles from the coast of Tanzania. The island is 60 miles long and 20 miles wide.
It is characterised by beautiful sandy beaches and a magich history. For centuries the Arabs sailed with the Monsoon wind to trade ivory, slaves and spices.
Today the Island gives you a view of the culture and traditions from the past. Stone Town is the old city and cultural heart of Zanzibar, with only small changes in the last 200 years. It is a place of winding alleys, bustling bazaars, mosques and grand Arab houses.
Zanzibar will show you where spices come from and how they are picked. You can taste all the fruits like bananas, pineapples, cloves, passion fruits and coconuts.
Zanzibar is very close to paradise with long fantastic white tropical beaches.
The beaches lapped by the warm turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean provide the perfect place for you to relax, soak up the sun and take a break from some busy sightseeing and your normal life.
Of course it is fully possible to combine all of our safaris with a nice stay at Zanzibar!
